What is it used for?
Oral rehydration solution is used to prevent or treat dehydration caused by diarrhoea, loose motions, vomiting or excessive fluid loss. It replaces water and essential salts lost from the body.

How does it work?
It contains water, electrolytes and glucose. These help the intestines absorb fluid and salts, restoring the body's fluid and electrolyte balance.

How to take/use it
Drink it as directed on the label, taking small, frequent sips. It is ready to drink, so do not dilute it unless the product instructions say otherwise. Use the product within the recommended period after opening.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting or mild stomach discomfort may occur, especially if it is consumed too quickly.

Precautions
Seek medical care for severe or persistent diarrhoea or vomiting, blood in the stool, very little urination, extreme weakness, confusion or signs of severe dehydration. People with kidney disease, heart failure or conditions requiring fluid or salt restriction should seek medical advice before use. This solution does not treat the underlying cause of diarrhoea.
