What is it used for?
Oral rehydration solution helps prevent and treat dehydration caused by diarrhoea, vomiting, or excessive fluid loss. It replaces water and essential salts lost from the body.

How does it work?
It contains water, salts and glucose. The glucose and salts help the intestine absorb fluids more effectively.

How to take/use it
Drink by mouth in small, frequent sips. Use the ready-to-drink solution as supplied and follow the product label or healthcare professional’s advice. Do not add extra water or other ingredients unless instructed.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, bloating or mild stomach discomfort may occur, especially if taken too quickly.

Precautions
Seek medical help for severe dehydration, persistent vomiting, very little or no urination, blood in the stool, worsening symptoms or inability to drink. People with kidney disease, heart failure, or conditions requiring fluid or salt restriction should seek medical advice before use.
