Description

Intascab is a topical scabicidal and antiseptic lotion.

Gamma-Benzene Hexachloride (Lindane) kills scabies mites by neurotoxicity.

Cetrimide acts as an antiseptic to reduce secondary bacterial infection.
Used for the treatment of scabies and prevention of superimposed infections.

Precautions

For external use only.

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.

Do not apply on broken, inflamed, or oozing skin.

Use cautiously in children, elderly, or underweight patients (risk of systemic absorption).

Avoid prolonged or repeated application.

Wash hands thoroughly after use.

Do not use during pregnancy or lactation unless advised by a physician.

Adverse Effects

Mild burning, itching, or tingling at application site

Skin dryness or irritation

Rare allergic skin reactions

Very rarely, systemic toxicity if misused (e.g., seizures, dizziness) due to lindane absorption
