What is it used for?
Levocetirizine is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, and itchy or watery eyes. It is also used to relieve itching and hives (urticaria).

How does it work?
It blocks histamine, a substance involved in allergic reactions. This helps reduce allergy symptoms and itching.

How to take/use it
Swallow the tablet with water, with or without food, as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not take more than recommended.

Common side effects
Sleepiness or drowsiness, tiredness, headache, and dry mouth.

Precautions
This medicine may cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery until its effects are known. Avoid or limit alcohol, as it may increase drowsiness. Consult a doctor before use if there is kidney disease, pregnancy, breastfeeding, or a history of difficulty passing urine. Seek medical help for signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing.
