What is it used for?
Bacillus clausii is a probiotic used to help restore the natural balance of beneficial bacteria in the intestines, including during or after diarrhoea or other disturbances of gut flora.

How does it work?
It provides beneficial bacterial spores that can reach the intestine and help support the normal balance of gut bacteria.

How to take/use it
For oral use only. Take the suspension exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor or pharmacist. Do not mix it with hot liquids. Do not use a vial if it is damaged or the contents look unusual.

Common side effects
Usually well tolerated. Occasional gas, bloating, nausea or stomach discomfort may occur.

Precautions
Seek medical advice before use if the person has a severely weakened immune system, is seriously ill or has a central venous catheter. Stop use and seek urgent medical help if signs of a serious allergic reaction occur. Medical advice is needed for severe, persistent or bloody diarrhoea, or signs of dehydration.
