Iron Sucrose 100 mg per 5 ml

Description:

IROLINK Injection contains Iron Sucrose, an intravenous iron preparation used for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in patients who cannot tolerate or do not respond adequately to oral iron therapy. It helps replenish depleted iron stores and supports the production of hemoglobin, improving oxygen transport throughout the body. It is commonly used in chronic kidney disease patients, postpartum anemia and other conditions with rapid or severe iron deficiency.

Precautions:

IROLINK should be administered under medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to iron sucrose or other parenteral iron products. It should be avoided in patients with iron overload disorders or anemia not caused by iron deficiency. Patients with liver disease, infections or asthma should be treated carefully. Monitor hemoglobin and iron parameters regularly. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if prescribed. All medications and allergies should be disclosed before administration.

Adverse Effects:

Possible side effects include nausea, vomiting, metallic taste, dizziness, headache and mild injection-site reactions. Some patients may experience low blood pressure, flushing or muscle cramps. Rarely, hypersensitivity or anaphylactoid reactions may occur. Very rare effects include chest pain, shortness of breath or circulatory collapse in hypersensitive individuals.

Storage:

Store below 25°C, protected from light. Do not freeze. Keep the ampoule in the original packaging until use. Use only if the solution is clear and particle-free. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
