Kelac 10 Tab (Ketorolac Tromethamine 10Mg) By Intas

What is it used for?
Ketorolac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine used for short-term relief of moderate to severe acute pain, such as pain after surgery or injury. It is not intended for long-term or mild pain relief.

How does it work?
It reduces the production of substances called prostaglandins that cause pain, swelling and inflammation.

How to take/use it
Take it only as prescribed, with a glass of water. Taking it with food may reduce stomach upset. Use the lowest effective amount for the shortest prescribed period. Do not take it with other painkillers such as ibuprofen, diclofenac, naproxen or aspirin unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Stomach pain or discomfort, indigestion, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache and dizziness.

Precautions
Avoid this medicine if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, severe kidney disease, or allergy to aspirin or other NSAIDs. Tell the doctor about heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, dehydration, bleeding disorders, or use of blood thinners. Seek urgent medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, breathing difficulty, facial swelling, chest pain or markedly reduced urination. It should generally be avoided in pregnancy, especially from 20 weeks onwards and during the third trimester, unless specifically prescribed.
