Composition:
Each capsule/tablet contains Omeprazole 20 mg as the active ingredient.
Uses:
Used to treat acidity, heartburn, acid reflux (GERD), stomach ulcers, and other conditions caused by excessive stomach acid. It may also be used with antibiotics to treat H. pylori infection as prescribed.
How to Use:
Take Omeprazole 20 mg exactly as prescribed, usually before a meal. Swallow the capsule/tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Take it at the same time each day for the prescribed duration.
Precautions & Warnings:
Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, osteoporosis, vitamin B12 deficiency, or low magnesium levels. Tell your doctor about all medicines you take, especially blood thinners, certain HIV medicines, antifungals, or medicines that require stomach acid for absorption. Seek medical advice for unexplained weight loss, persistent vomiting, difficulty swallowing, vomiting blood, or black stools.
Possible Side Effects:
Common side effects may include headache, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, gas, constipation, or diarrhea. Long-term use may rarely cause low magnesium or vitamin B12 levels, bone fractures, or certain intestinal infections. Seek medical attention for severe allergic reactions or persistent/severe diarrhea.
