Omeprazole IP 20 mg,Excipients: q.s.

Description:
Kemopraz Capsule contains Omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that suppresses gastric acid secretion by specifically inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase enzyme system at the surface of gastric parietal cells. This leads to a potent and long-lasting reduction in both basal and stimulated gastric acid output.

Warnings and Precautions:

For oral use only. Swallow the capsule whole; do not crush or chew.

Use with caution in hepatic impairment.

Long-term use may lead to vitamin B₁₂ deficiency, hypomagnesemia, or increased fracture risk.

Discontinue and seek medical advice if symptoms persist or worsen after 14 days of therapy.

Use during pregnancy and lactation only under medical supervision.

Avoid concurrent use with drugs whose absorption depends on gastric pH (e.g., ketoconazole, atazanavir).

Adverse Effects:

Common: Headache, abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, flatulence.

Occasional: Dizziness, rash, or diarrhea.

Rare: Hypomagnesemia, vitamin B₁₂ deficiency, or hypersensitivity reactions.

Storage:

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from moisture and direct sunlight.

Keep capsules in the original blister pack until use.

Keep out of reach of children.
