What is it used for?
This combination is generally prescribed to help reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in people with cardiovascular disease or increased cardiovascular risk. It lowers high cholesterol and helps prevent harmful blood clots.

How does it work?
Rosuvastatin lowers LDL (“bad”) cholesterol by reducing cholesterol production and increasing its removal from the blood. Aspirin reduces the ability of platelets to stick together, helping prevent blood clots.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day. Swallow with water and do not stop it without medical advice. If a dose is missed, follow the instructions provided by the doctor or pharmacist rather than taking extra medicine.

Common side effects
Indigestion, stomach discomfort, nausea, easy bruising or bleeding, headache, and muscle aches may occur. Seek medical help for unusual muscle weakness or severe or persistent bleeding.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about stomach ulcers, bleeding problems, liver or kidney disease, asthma triggered by aspirin, or previous allergy to aspirin or other painkillers. Inform the doctor about all medicines, especially blood thinners and other medicines that increase bleeding risk. Avoid use during pregnancy unless specifically advised. Report unexplained muscle pain or weakness, dark urine, black stools, or vomiting blood promptly.
