What is it used for?
This medicine is used to treat high cholesterol and high triglyceride levels in the blood, especially mixed dyslipidaemia. It helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke when used along with a suitable diet and other lifestyle measures.

How does it work?
Rosuvastatin reduces the liver’s production of cholesterol, helping lower LDL (bad) cholesterol. Fenofibrate mainly lowers triglycerides and may increase HDL (good) cholesterol.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor and do not change or stop the treatment without medical advice. Follow the recommended diet and attend blood tests or follow-up visits as advised.

Common side effects
Muscle pain, headache, nausea, stomach discomfort, constipation or diarrhoea, and changes in liver blood tests may occur.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about liver or kidney disease, gallbladder problems, thyroid disorders, heavy alcohol use, or previous muscle problems with cholesterol medicines. Seek medical advice promptly for unexplained muscle pain or weakness, dark urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or severe abdominal pain. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Tell the doctor about all other medicines, especially other cholesterol medicines and blood thinners, because interactions may increase side effects.
