Ketoconazole 2.00% w/w in a dermatological cream base.
Description:
Keteen Cream is an antifungal preparation formulated to treat a wide range of superficial fungal infections, including ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, seborrheic dermatitis, and pityriasis versicolor. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol in fungal cell membranes, thereby stopping fungal growth and relieving symptoms such as itching, redness, scaling, inflammation, and discomfort. Its smooth cream base allows easy absorption and localized action on the affected skin.
Precautions:
Use only externally and avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, or mucous membranes. Apply to clean and dry skin, and wash hands before and after application. Do not use on broken or highly irritated skin unless advised by a physician. If irritation, increased redness, or worsening of infection occurs, discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use the product only under medical guidance.
Adverse Effects:
Mild burning sensation, itching, redness, dryness, or local irritation may occur at the site of application. Rarely, allergic reactions such as rash or swelling may be experienced.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C and away from direct sunlight. Keep the tube tightly closed after use and keep out of reach of children.
