Ketokem Cream (Ketoconazole Cream 2%)

Composition:
Each gram of cream contains:

Ketoconazole IP 2% w/w, Cream base  q.s.

Description:
Ketokem Cream contains Ketoconazole, a broad-spectrum antifungal agent belonging to the imidazole group. It acts by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, leading to increased cell permeability and cell death.

Warnings and Precautions:

For external use only.

Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and open wounds.

Discontinue if irritation, redness, or hypersensitivity occurs.

Use with caution in patients with known hypersensitivity to imidazole antifungals.

Apply only to the affected area and surrounding skin as directed by the physician.

Continue treatment for the recommended duration to prevent recurrence.

Safe use during pregnancy and lactation should be determined by a physician.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Local irritation, burning, stinging, or itching at the application site.

Occasional: Dryness, erythema, or contact dermatitis.

Rare: Hypersensitivity or allergic skin reactions.

Storage:
