Ketozol 2 % Oint (10Gm) Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo by Elder

What is it used for?
Ketoconazole 2% shampoo is used to treat dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis, and certain fungal skin infections such as pityriasis versicolor.

How does it work?
It is an antifungal medicine that stops fungi from making an essential part of their cell membrane, helping control fungal growth and related scaling or itching.

How to take/use it
Use on the scalp or affected skin exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor. Wet the area, apply the shampoo, gently lather and rinse thoroughly. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not swallow it.

Common side effects
Mild burning, itching, irritation, dryness or redness at the application site. Changes in hair texture or colour may occasionally occur.

Precautions
For external use only. Avoid the eyes and broken or severely irritated skin; rinse well with water if it gets into the eyes. Stop using it and seek medical advice if severe irritation, swelling or an allergic reaction occurs. Keep out of reach of children.
