What is it used for?
This syrup is used for temporary relief of dry cough, blocked or stuffy nose, and allergy or cold-related symptoms.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan suppresses the cough reflex. Chlorpheniramine reduces allergy symptoms, while phenylephrine helps relieve nasal congestion.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed by a doctor or according to the product label. Measure the syrup with a proper measuring device and do not exceed the recommended amount. Avoid taking it with other cough, cold or decongestant medicines unless advised.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, headache, and nervousness may occur. Phenylephrine may cause a fast heartbeat or increased blood pressure.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol and driving or operating machinery if drowsy or dizzy. Consult a doctor before use if there is high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, prostate or urinary problems, or liver disease. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors and check with a doctor before combining with antidepressants or other medicines that cause drowsiness. Ask a doctor before use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, or in young children.
