What is it used for?
Used for temporary relief of cough, blocked or stuffy nose, runny nose and sneezing associated with common cold and similar upper-airway conditions.

How does it work?
Dextromethorphan helps reduce the urge to cough. Phenylephrine helps relieve nasal blockage, while chlorpheniramine reduces runny nose and sneezing.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as directed on the product label or by a doctor or pharmacist. Measure the liquid carefully using a suitable measuring device. Do not take it with other cough, cold or allergy medicines unless advised by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, nausea, nervousness, headache and difficulty sleeping. Phenylephrine may cause palpitations or a temporary increase in blood pressure.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol and driving or operating machinery if drowsy or less alert. Seek medical advice before use in people with high blood pressure, heart disease, glaucoma, thyroid problems, prostate or urinary difficulties, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Do not use with monoamine oxidase inhibitor medicines, or within 14 days of stopping them, unless advised by a doctor. Keep out of reach of children and seek medical advice for young children. Seek medical help if breathing difficulty occurs or the cough persists or worsens.
