Labetalol 5 mg per ml

Description:

LABOLINK Injection contains Labetalol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker with additional alpha-1 blocking activity. It is used for the management of hypertension, including hypertensive emergencies, and to control elevated blood pressure in perioperative settings. Labetalol works by reducing heart rate, cardiac output, and peripheral vascular resistance, leading to a decrease in blood pressure.

Precautions:

LABOLINK should be administered under strict medical supervision. Caution is advised in patients with asthma, heart failure, bradycardia, heart block, severe hepatic or renal impairment. Continuous monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is essential during therapy. Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if prescribed by a physician. Inform the doctor of all medications being taken to avoid potential interactions, particularly with other antihypertensives or CNS depressants.

Adverse Effects:

Common side effects include dizziness, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, headache, and injection site reactions. Rare but serious effects include hypotension, bradycardia, bronchospasm, heart block, and severe allergic reactions.

Storage:

Store below 25°C, protected from light and moisture. Keep ampoules in the original packaging until use. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date.
