What is it used for?
Used to relieve constipation by softening stools and making them easier to pass.

How does it work?
Lactitol draws water into the bowel to soften stools. Ispaghula husk absorbs water and increases stool bulk, helping promote bowel movement.

How to take/use it
Use exactly as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Mix with sufficient water and drink promptly; do not take the powder dry. Drink plenty of fluids unless fluid restriction has been advised. Keep other oral medicines separate as advised by a pharmacist or doctor.

Common side effects
Gas, bloating, abdominal discomfort or cramps, nausea, and diarrhoea, especially when starting treatment or if too much is taken.

Precautions
Do not use without medical advice if there is severe or unexplained abdominal pain, vomiting, suspected intestinal blockage, or difficulty swallowing. Stop and seek medical advice if constipation persists, worsens, or there is blood in the stool. Ensure adequate fluid intake to reduce the risk of blockage from the fibre component.
