Laxitel Plus Syp (170Ml) Liquid Paraffin, Milk Of Magensia & Sodium Picosulphate Suspn by Elder

What is it used for?
This medicine is used for short-term relief of constipation and to help make hard stools easier to pass.

How does it work?
Liquid paraffin lubricates the stool and bowel, milk of magnesia draws water into the bowel, and sodium picosulfate stimulates bowel movement.

How to take/use it
Shake the suspension well before use. Measure it with the supplied measuring device and take it exactly as directed on the label or by a doctor. Drink adequate fluids unless fluid restriction has been advised. Do not use it regularly or for a prolonged period without medical advice.

Common side effects
Abdominal cramps, bloating, nausea, loose stools or diarrhoea may occur.

Precautions
Do not use without medical advice for severe or persistent abdominal pain, vomiting, suspected bowel blockage, or rectal bleeding. Stop and seek medical advice if constipation persists or if severe diarrhoea, weakness or signs of dehydration occur. Frequent or prolonged use can disturb body salts and may make the bowel dependent on laxatives. Ask a doctor before use during pregnancy, in children, or if there is kidney disease or other significant illness.
