Description:

Levetacure-500 Tablet contains Levetiracetam, a broad-spectrum antiepileptic drug (AED) used for the treatment and prevention of seizures. It helps stabilize electrical activity in the brain by binding to synaptic vesicle protein SV2A, thereby preventing abnormal neuronal firing that leads to seizures.

Warnings & Precautions:

May cause drowsiness, dizziness, or behavioral changes such as irritability or aggression.

Caution in patients with renal impairment (dose adjustment needed).

Monitor for depression, anxiety, or suicidal ideation during therapy.

Avoid sudden discontinuation to prevent rebound seizures.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Somnolence, headache, dizziness, fatigue.

Occasional: Behavioral disturbances, mood changes, irritability.

Rare: Rash, depression, hallucinations.
