What is it used for?
Levocetirizine syrup is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, runny or itchy nose, itchy or watery eyes, and skin allergies such as hives (urticaria).

How does it work?
It blocks the action of histamine, a chemical involved in allergic reactions. This helps reduce itching, sneezing, runny nose and other allergy symptoms.

How to take/use it
Take it only as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Measure the syrup with the supplied measuring device, and do not use a household spoon. It may be taken with or without food. Do not take more than recommended.

Common side effects
Sleepiness or drowsiness, tiredness, headache and dry mouth may occur.

Precautions
It may cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery until its effect is known. Avoid or limit alcohol, as it may increase sleepiness. Consult a doctor before use in children, during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if there is kidney disease. Seek medical advice if allergy symptoms are severe or do not improve.
