What is it used for?
Levosulpiride oral solution is used for certain digestive problems such as indigestion, delayed stomach emptying, reflux-related symptoms, and nausea or vomiting. It may help relieve symptoms such as bloating, early fullness and upper abdominal discomfort when these are related to slow stomach movement.

How does it work?
It blocks dopamine D2 receptors and helps improve movement of the stomach and upper digestive tract. This can support stomach emptying and reduce some nausea-related symptoms.

How to take/use it
Take it by mouth only as prescribed by a doctor. Measure the liquid with an appropriate measuring device and follow the prescribed timing and duration. Do not take more or use it for longer than directed.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, abdominal discomfort, diarrhoea or constipation. Increased prolactin levels may cause breast tenderness, unexpected milk production or menstrual changes.

Precautions
Use only under medical advice. Avoid driving or operating machinery if drowsy or dizzy, and avoid alcohol. Tell the doctor about Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, a history of abnormal involuntary movements, gastrointestinal bleeding or blockage, or hormone-sensitive conditions. Seek medical help for severe muscle stiffness, unusual movements, fainting, or a fast or irregular heartbeat. Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
