What is it used for?
Levosulpride is used to relieve indigestion symptoms such as bloating, early fullness, nausea and upper-abdominal discomfort, especially when these are related to slow movement of food through the stomach.

How does it work?
It blocks dopamine signals involved in nausea and helps improve movement of the stomach and upper digestive tract, allowing food to pass more normally.

How to take/use it
Take it only as prescribed and follow the timing stated on the prescription or pack. Swallow the tablet with water and do not take more or for longer than advised.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, nausea, constipation, abdominal discomfort and increased prolactin levels, which may cause breast tenderness, menstrual changes or milk production.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about kidney disease, heart rhythm problems, epilepsy, gastrointestinal bleeding or blockage, or a history of hormone-sensitive conditions. Avoid alcohol and be careful with driving if drowsy or dizzy. Seek medical advice for unusual body movements, fainting, palpitations, severe abdominal pain or persistent breast or menstrual changes. Inform the doctor if pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medicines that cause drowsiness or affect heart rhythm.
