Lipider 10 Tabs (20X15) Atorvastatin Calcium 10Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Atorvastatin is used to lower high cholesterol and other unhealthy blood fats. It also helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in people at increased cardiovascular risk.

How does it work?
It reduces the liver’s production of cholesterol, especially LDL (bad) cholesterol. This helps improve blood fat levels and lowers the build-up of fatty deposits in blood vessels.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food. Take it at the same time each day and continue it for as long as advised. Do not stop it without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, diarrhoea, indigestion and muscle pain may occur. Contact a doctor promptly for unexplained or severe muscle pain, weakness or dark-coloured urine.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about liver disease, heavy alcohol use, thyroid problems or a history of muscle problems. It should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised. Inform the doctor about all other medicines, including supplements; some medicines and large amounts of grapefruit can increase side effects. Liver tests may be advised during treatment.
