Lipider 20 Tabs (20X15) Atorvastatin Calcium 20Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Atorvastatin is used to lower high cholesterol, especially “bad” LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. It also helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in people at increased cardiovascular risk.

How does it work?
It reduces the liver’s production of cholesterol and helps the liver remove LDL cholesterol from the blood.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, with or without food, and at the same time each day if possible. Continue taking it regularly unless advised otherwise. Do not stop it without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, constipation, and muscle aches may occur. Blood tests may show increased liver enzymes.

Precautions
Tell the doctor about liver disease, heavy alcohol use, thyroid problems, or a history of muscle problems. Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless specifically advised. Tell the doctor or pharmacist about all other medicines, as some can increase the risk of muscle damage. Seek medical help for severe or unexplained muscle pain or weakness, dark urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or unusual tiredness.
