Lipider 80 (10X10) Atorvastatin Calcium 80 Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
Atorvastatin is used to lower high cholesterol, especially LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides. It also helps reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in people at increased cardiovascular risk.

How does it work?
It blocks an enzyme in the liver that is needed to make cholesterol. This lowers cholesterol levels in the blood and helps reduce fatty build-up in the arteries.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, at the same time each day, with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole. Continue the medicine as advised even if feeling well, and do not stop it without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, indigestion, diarrhoea, and muscle pain or weakness may occur.

Precautions
Inform the doctor about liver disease, heavy alcohol use, thyroid problems, kidney problems, or a history of muscle disorders. Avoid use during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless specifically advised. Tell the doctor about all other medicines, including supplements. Seek medical help for severe or persistent muscle pain or weakness, dark urine, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or unusual tiredness.
