Description:
Livorb-UD 300 Tablet contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA), a naturally occurring bile acid used to improve liver function and dissolve cholesterol gallstones. It works by reducing cholesterol absorption and secretion into bile, stabilizing hepatocyte membranes, and protecting liver cells from toxic bile acids.

Warnings and Precautions:

For oral use only.

Use under medical supervision with regular liver function monitoring.

Contraindicated in patients with acute cholecystitis, biliary obstruction, or calcified gallstones.

Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic or renal impairment.

Periodic ultrasound or cholecystography may be required to monitor gallstone dissolution.

Not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless clearly indicated.

Maintain a balanced diet and avoid cholesterol-rich foods during therapy.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal discomfort.

Occasional: Rash, pruritus, or mild elevation in liver enzymes.

Rare: Gallstone calcification, allergic reactions.

Storage:

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture.
