What is it used for?
Amoxycillin with Lactic Acid Bacillus is used to treat infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It does not treat viral infections such as common colds or flu.

How does it work?
Amoxycillin kills susceptible bacteria by preventing them from building their protective cell wall. Lactic Acid Bacillus is a probiotic that helps support the balance of beneficial bacteria in the gut during antibiotic treatment.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed by the doctor and complete the prescribed course, even if symptoms improve. It may be taken with or without food, but taking it with food may help reduce stomach upset. Do not share or reuse leftover antibiotics.

Common side effects
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, stomach discomfort and skin rash may occur. Probiotics may also occasionally cause gas or bloating.

Precautions
Do not take it if there is a previous serious allergy to amoxycillin, penicillins or related antibiotics. Seek medical help for breathing difficulty, facial swelling, severe rash or persistent/severe diarrhoea. Inform the doctor about kidney disease, previous antibiotic-related diarrhoea, glandular fever (mononucleosis), pregnancy or breastfeeding, and all other medicines being taken.
