What is it used for?
Carboxymethylcellulose sodium 0.5% eye drops are used as artificial tears to temporarily relieve dry, irritated, burning or uncomfortable eyes.

How does it work?
It forms a lubricating layer over the surface of the eye, helping retain moisture and reduce friction and irritation.

How to take/use it
Use in the eyes exactly as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Wash hands before use and do not let the dropper tip touch the eye or other surfaces. If contact lenses are worn, follow the product instructions about removing and replacing them.

Common side effects
Temporary blurred vision, mild stinging, burning or eye irritation may occur after use.

Precautions
For external eye use only. Do not use if the solution is cloudy, discoloured or contaminated. Seek medical advice for eye pain, vision changes, marked redness, discharge or symptoms that persist or worsen. Stop using it and seek advice if significant irritation or an allergic reaction occurs.
