What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of pain and fever, including body aches and pain associated with inflammation.

How does it work?
Mefenamic acid reduces substances that cause pain and inflammation. Paracetamol helps reduce pain and fever through a different action.

How to take/use it
Take only as directed by a doctor or pharmacist. Swallow with water, preferably after food. Do not take more than recommended or use it for longer than advised. Do not take it with other medicines containing paracetamol or other painkillers unless advised.

Common side effects
Nausea, indigestion, stomach pain, diarrhoea, dizziness or headache. Stop the medicine and seek medical help for black stools, vomiting blood, severe stomach pain, breathing difficulty or swelling of the face or lips.

Precautions
Avoid this medicine if allergic to mefenamic acid, paracetamol or similar painkillers. Tell the doctor if there is a history of stomach ulcer or bleeding, asthma triggered by painkillers, kidney or liver disease, heart problems, or regular alcohol use. Avoid during pregnancy, especially the last 3 months, unless specifically prescribed. Do not combine with other paracetamol-containing products or NSAID painkillers without medical advice.
