What is it used for?

It stimulates the sympathetic nervous system, causing blood vessels to narrow and helping the heart pump more strongly. This raises blood pressure.

Common side effects
Headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, nervousness, tremors, palpitations and a fast or irregular heartbeat may occur.

Precautions

Inform the doctor about all medicines being taken, particularly antidepressants or other medicines that raise blood pressure.
