MEROLINK-S 1.5 Injection (Meropenem 1000Mg+ Sulbactam 500Mg)

Composition:
Each vial contains Meropenem 1000 mg and Sulbactam 500 mg.

Description:
Meropenem + Sulbactam is a broad-spectrum antibacterial combination used for severe bacterial infections. Meropenem inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, while Sulbactam enhances activity by inhibiting β-lactamase enzymes, improving coverage against resistant organisms.

Precautions:
Use cautiously in patients with renal impairment and adjust dose accordingly. Evaluate history of hypersensitivity to carbapenems, penicillins or other β-lactam antibiotics. Use during pregnancy and lactation only when clearly indicated. Monitor for signs of allergic reactions or seizures in predisposed individuals.

Adverse Effects:
May cause headache, nausea, diarrhoea, rash, injection-site pain, elevated liver enzymes and rare hypersensitivity reactions.

Storage:
Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Use reconstituted solution immediately or as per manufacturer recommendations.
