Description:
Metoprol XL 25 Tablet contains Metoprolol Succinate, a selective β₁-adrenergic receptor blocker. It helps reduce heart rate, blood pressure, and cardiac workload.
It is used in the management of hypertension, angina pectoris, heart failure, and arrhythmias, and for prevention of myocardial infarction (heart attack).
The extended-release formulation ensures controlled drug release for 24-hour efficacy with once-daily dosing.

Warnings and Precautions:

Do not stop taking abruptly; sudden withdrawal may worsen angina or cause arrhythmias.

Use cautiously in patients with heart block, bradycardia, or heart failure.

May mask symptoms of hypoglycemia in diabetic patients.

Avoid alcohol and activities requiring alertness until the drug’s effect is known.

Inform your doctor if you are taking other antihypertensive or beta-blocker medications.

Adverse Effects:
Fatigue, dizziness, bradycardia, hypotension, headache, and gastrointestinal discomfort.
Rarely, may cause shortness of breath, depression, or sleep disturbances.
