Metrosalic Ointment (Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% + Salicylic Acid 2%)

Composition:
Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% and Salicylic Acid 2% in an ointment base.

Description:
Metrosalic Ointment is a combination therapy formulated to treat thick, scaly, inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis, chronic eczema, dermatitis, and lichenified lesions. Clobetasol Propionate is a highly potent corticosteroid that reduces redness, itching, and inflammation. Salicylic Acid acts as a keratolytic agent, softening and removing thickened skin plaques and enhancing the penetration of the corticosteroid. The ointment base offers deeper moisturization, making it suitable for very dry, thick, and scaly areas.

Precautions:
For external use only and should not be applied on the face, groin, or underarms unless specifically directed by a physician. Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, mucous membranes, and open wounds. Do not use under occlusive dressings unless advised. Prolonged or excessive use may lead to steroid-related side effects; use for the shortest duration necessary. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medication only under medical guidance. Discontinue if irritation, excessive redness, or worsening of symptoms occurs.

Adverse Effects:
Mild burning, stinging, dryness, redness, peeling, or irritation may occur at the application site. Long-term use can cause skin thinning, stretch marks, pigmentation changes, or hair growth. Rarely, allergic reactions such as swelling or rash may develop.

Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place below 25°C, away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
