Micogel Cream (Miconazole 2.0 %W/W)

Composition:
Each gram of cream contains:
Miconazole Nitrate IP – 2.0% w/w

Description:
Micogel Cream contains Miconazole, an imidazole antifungal agent that works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes. This leads to disruption of the cell membrane and death of the fungus.
It is indicated for the treatment of fungal skin infections, including tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), and cutaneous candidiasis.

Warnings and Precautions:

For external use only.

Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and mucous membranes.

Discontinue use if irritation or hypersensitivity occurs.

Use with caution in patients with a history of allergic reactions to imidazoles.

Continue use for the full course, even if symptoms improve early, to prevent recurrence.

Adverse Effects:
Mild local irritation, burning, redness, or itching at the site of application.

Storage:
Store below 25°C, in a cool, dry place, protected from light and moisture.
Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
