Micozel- F Oint (15Gm) Miconazole Nitrate 2%, Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.01% by Elder

What is it used for?
Used on the skin to treat fungal infections that are inflamed, itchy, or irritated. It should be used only for the condition advised by a doctor or pharmacist.

How does it work?
Miconazole stops the growth of fungi. Fluocinolone reduces inflammation, redness, and itching.

How to take/use it
For external skin use only. Clean and dry the affected area, then apply a thin layer as directed by the doctor or pharmacist. Wash hands before and after use, unless the hands are being treated. Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth, and inside of the vagina. Do not cover the area with a tight dressing unless advised.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, redness, irritation, or dryness at the application site. Prolonged or inappropriate use may cause skin thinning or changes in skin colour.

Precautions
Use only on the affected skin and do not use for longer than prescribed. Do not apply to the face, groin, skin folds, broken skin, or in children unless specifically advised. Avoid self-treating undiagnosed rashes, as the steroid may mask or worsen some infections. Stop and seek medical advice if the infection worsens, spreads, or causes severe irritation.
