What is it used for?
Used for short-term relief of constipation and to help make stools softer and easier to pass.

How does it work?
Milk of magnesia draws water into the bowel, liquid paraffin lubricates and softens the stool, and sodium picosulphate stimulates bowel movement.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as directed on the product label or by a healthcare professional. Measure the liquid carefully, do not exceed the recommended amount, and drink adequate fluids unless otherwise advised. Do not use it for a prolonged period without medical advice.

Common side effects
Abdominal cramps, loose stools or diarrhoea, nausea, bloating and increased bowel movements.

Precautions
Do not use without medical advice if there is severe or unexplained abdominal pain, vomiting, suspected bowel blockage or rectal bleeding. Use cautiously in kidney disease or if dehydrated. Stop and seek medical advice if constipation continues, diarrhoea is severe, or there is weakness, dizziness or reduced urination.
