Mometason Cream (15Gm) Mometasone 0.1% by Elder

What is it used for?
Mometasone 0.1% is a topical corticosteroid used to reduce redness, swelling, itching and irritation in inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis. It may also be prescribed for other steroid-responsive skin conditions.

How does it work?
It reduces the release of substances in the skin that cause inflammation, redness and itching.

How to take/use it
For external use only. Apply a thin layer to the affected skin exactly as prescribed. Wash hands before and after use, unless the hands are being treated. Avoid covering the area with a tight dressing unless advised by a doctor.

Common side effects
Mild burning, stinging, itching, dryness or irritation may occur. Prolonged or improper use can cause skin thinning, stretch marks, changes in skin colour or worsening of a skin infection.

Precautions
Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and broken skin. Do not use on the face, groin, armpits or on infected skin unless specifically advised by a doctor. Use in children, on large skin areas or for prolonged periods only under medical supervision. Seek medical advice if the condition worsens, spreads or does not improve.
