Montas-Ab 10 Tab (Montelukast Sodium 10Mg + Acebrophylline 200Mg Sustain Release) By Intas

What is it used for?
Used to help control asthma and other obstructive airway conditions, such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), by reducing airway narrowing, breathing difficulty and mucus-related symptoms. It is not intended to provide immediate relief during a sudden breathing attack.

How does it work?
Montelukast blocks substances that cause airway inflammation and narrowing. Acebrophylline helps relax the airways and improve mucus clearance, making breathing easier.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed. Swallow the sustained-release tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Use it regularly as directed and do not take an extra dose if one is missed without medical advice.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort, diarrhoea, dizziness, tremor or palpitations.

Precautions
This medicine is not a substitute for a rescue inhaler during an acute asthma or breathing attack. Inform the doctor about liver, kidney, heart or seizure problems, peptic ulcers, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and all other medicines being taken. Seek medical advice promptly for worsening breathing, severe palpitations, allergic reactions, or mood or behaviour changes such as agitation, depression or suicidal thoughts.
