Montas-Al Tab (Montelukast 10 mg + Levocetirizine 5 mg + Ambroxol 75 mg)

Composition:

Each film-coated tablet contains:

Montelukast Sodium – 10 mg, Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride – 5 mg, Ambroxol Hydrochloride – 75 mg, Excipients q.s.

Description:

Montas-AL Tablet is a triple-action antiallergic and mucolytic formulation used to manage respiratory allergies accompanied by cough and mucus.

Levocetirizine: A non-drowsy antihistamine that reduces sneezing, runny nose, itching, watery eyes.

Montelukast: A leukotriene receptor antagonist that reduces airway inflammation and prevents bronchoconstriction.

Ambroxol: A mucolytic agent that thins and loosens mucus, making it easier to cough out.

Precautions:

Not recommended for children below prescribed age unless advised.

Use with caution in patients with asthma, liver disease, gastric ulcers, or renal impairment.

Avoid alcohol; may increase drowsiness.

Do not drive if dizziness or sleepiness occurs (mainly due to levocetirizine).

Patients with psychiatric illness should use montelukast cautiously (rare mood-related effects).

Avoid taking with other antihistamines, leukotriene antagonists, or mucolytics unless prescribed.

Discontinue if rash, breathing difficulty, mood changes, or severe stomach discomfort occurs.

Safe use in pregnancy and breastfeeding only under medical supervision.

Adverse Effects:

Common: Drowsiness, dizziness, Dry mouth, throat irritation, Headache, Nausea, stomach upset, Fatigue.

Less Common: Increased mucus production initially (due to ambroxol), Palpitations, Mild skin reactions.

Storage:

Store below 25–30°C, in a cool, dry place.

Protect from light and moisture.
