What is it used for?
This medicine is used for allergy-related nose and airway symptoms such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, and cough with thick mucus. It may be prescribed when allergy symptoms occur along with mucus in the airways.

How does it work?
Montelukast reduces allergy-related airway inflammation, while levocetirizine blocks histamine to relieve allergy symptoms. Ambroxol helps thin and loosen mucus so it can be cleared more easily.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed. Swallow the sustained-release tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Do not take more or use it for longer than advised. This medicine is not a rescue treatment for a sudden asthma or breathing attack.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, nausea, stomach discomfort, indigestion or diarrhoea may occur.

Precautions
Drowsiness may occur; avoid driving or alcohol if affected. Tell the doctor about kidney or liver problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and all other medicines being used. Seek medical advice promptly for mood or behaviour changes, unusual thoughts, severe rash, facial swelling or difficulty breathing. Do not use it to treat a sudden asthma attack.
