Montas- L 10 Tab (Montelukast Sodium 10Mg + Levocetirizine 5Mg, Film Coated Tablet) By Intas

What is it used for?
Used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever), such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, nose or throat itching, and watery or itchy eyes. It may also be prescribed as an add-on treatment for asthma in some patients.

How does it work?
Levocetirizine blocks histamine, a substance involved in allergy symptoms. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, which can contribute to nasal swelling and breathing-related symptoms.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with water and do not take more than the recommended amount. This medicine does not relieve a sudden asthma or breathing attack.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, headache, dry mouth, tiredness, abdominal pain, nausea, or sore throat may occur.

Precautions
Drowsiness may occur; avoid driving or operating machinery until its effect is known. Contact a doctor promptly if there are unusual mood or behaviour changes, sleep problems, agitation, depression, or thoughts of self-harm. Inform the doctor about kidney disease, pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Do not stop prescribed asthma treatment without medical advice.
