Montas- L 15 Tab (Montelukast Sodium 10Mg + Levocetirizine 5Mg, Film Coated Tablet) By Intas

What is it used for?
This medicine is used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, nasal itching and itchy or watery eyes.

How does it work?
Montelukast blocks substances called leukotrienes that contribute to allergy-related inflammation. Levocetirizine blocks histamine, another substance responsible for allergy symptoms.

How to take/use it
Take it by mouth exactly as prescribed. Swallow the film-coated tablet whole with water. Do not take more than recommended. This medicine is not meant to provide immediate relief during a sudden asthma attack.

Common side effects
Sleepiness or drowsiness, headache, tiredness, dry mouth, stomach discomfort or abdominal pain may occur.

Precautions
Avoid alcohol and be careful with driving or operating machinery until the effect on alertness is known. Tell the doctor about kidney problems, pregnancy or breastfeeding, or a history of mental health problems. Contact the doctor promptly if unusual mood or behaviour changes, nightmares, sleep problems, anxiety, depression or thoughts of self-harm occur. Seek urgent medical help for signs of a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or difficulty breathing.
