What is it used for?
Used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

How does it work?
Montelukast blocks substances involved in allergy-related inflammation. Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that reduces allergy symptoms such as sneezing, itching and a runny nose.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Do not take more than the recommended amount. Use regularly as directed and do not stop or change treatment without medical advice.

Common side effects
Sleepiness, tiredness, headache, dry mouth and stomach discomfort may occur.

Precautions
Levocetirizine may cause drowsiness; avoid driving or alcohol until its effects are known. Inform the doctor about kidney disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding. Seek medical advice if mood or behaviour changes, sleep problems or unusual thoughts occur. This medicine is not a rescue treatment for a sudden asthma attack.
