What is it used for?
Used to relieve symptoms of allergies such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, nasal itching, and itchy or watery eyes. It may also be prescribed as an add-on treatment for asthma, but it does not relieve a sudden asthma attack.

How does it work?
Levocetirizine blocks histamine, a substance involved in allergy symptoms. Montelukast blocks leukotrienes, chemicals that can cause airway and nasal inflammation.

How to take/use it
Take by mouth exactly as prescribed. Do not take more than the recommended amount. Do not use it as a rescue medicine for sudden breathing difficulty.

Common side effects
Sleepiness or drowsiness, headache, tiredness, dry mouth, stomach pain, or nausea.

Precautions
Drowsiness may occur; avoid driving or operating machinery until its effects are known. Contact a doctor promptly if unusual mood or behaviour changes, nightmares, agitation, depression, or thoughts of self-harm occur. Inform the doctor about kidney disease, pregnancy, or breastfeeding. Seek urgent medical help for sudden or severe breathing difficulty.
