What is it used for?
This medicine is used to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny or blocked nose, nasal itching and watery or itchy eyes.

How does it work?
Montelukast blocks substances that contribute to allergy-related inflammation, while levocetirizine blocks histamine, which causes allergy symptoms.

How to take/use it
Take it by mouth exactly as prescribed. It may be taken with or without food. Do not take more than the recommended amount. Regular use should follow the prescriber's instructions.

Common side effects
Drowsiness, tiredness, headache, dry mouth, stomach discomfort or nausea may occur.

Precautions
This medicine may cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating machinery until its effects are known, and avoid alcohol. Seek medical advice if unusual changes in mood or behaviour, disturbed sleep, depression or suicidal thoughts occur. Inform the doctor about kidney disease, pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is not intended for immediate relief of a sudden asthma attack.
