Montedel Lc Tabs (20X1X10) Montilukast 10 Mg + Levocetrizine 5 Mg by Elder

What is it used for?
This combination is used to help prevent and control breathing symptoms in asthma and other obstructive airway conditions, such as wheezing, chest tightness and difficulty breathing. It may also help with allergy-related nasal symptoms. It is not used for immediate relief during a sudden asthma attack.

How does it work?
Montelukast blocks substances that cause airway inflammation and narrowing. Acebrophylline helps relax the airways and loosen mucus, making breathing easier.

How to take/use it
Take only as prescribed by the doctor. Swallow the sustained-release tablet whole with water; do not crush or chew it. Use it regularly as directed, even when symptoms are controlled. Keep a quick-relief inhaler available if prescribed.

Common side effects
Headache, nausea, stomach upset, diarrhoea, dizziness and vomiting may occur. Palpitations or a fast heartbeat can occur less commonly.

Precautions
This medicine does not treat a sudden asthma attack. Seek medical help for severe or worsening breathing difficulty. Tell the doctor about liver disease, heart rhythm problems, seizure disorders or other medicines being used. Montelukast may rarely cause mood or behaviour changes, sleep problems or suicidal thoughts; report these promptly. Avoid driving or operating machinery if dizziness occurs.
