Composition:
Tirzepatide 2.5 mg in a pre-filled injection pen.

Description:
Mounjaro 2.5 mg Injection contains tirzepatide, a dual GIP and GLP-1 receptor agonist used to improve blood glucose control in adults with type 2 diabetes. It enhances insulin secretion, reduces glucagon levels, slows gastric emptying, and supports better glycemic control. The 2.5 mg strength is typically used as the starting dose to help patients adapt to therapy before gradual dose escalation. It is administered once weekly via subcutaneous injection.

Precautions:
Use only under medical supervision. Do not use in patients with a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN-2. Inject only into recommended sites such as the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm and rotate injection areas weekly. Avoid use in type 1 diabetes or during episodes of ketoacidosis. Inform your physician of any gastrointestinal disorders, pancreatitis history, or kidney issues. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use it only if advised.

Adverse Effects:
Common reactions include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal discomfort, and decreased appetite. Rare but serious effects may include pancreatitis, allergic reactions, gallbladder issues, or severe gastrointestinal intolerance.

Storage:
Store in a refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C. Protect from light, do not freeze, and discard if frozen. Keep the pen capped and out of reach of children.
