Moxinta Clav 625 (10 T) (Amoxycillin 500Mg + Potassium Clavulanate 125Mg) By Intas

What is it used for?
Amoxycillin with potassium clavulanate is a prescription antibiotic used to treat a range of bacterial infections, such as infections of the ear, sinuses, lungs, skin, urinary tract or teeth. It does not work against viral infections such as colds or flu.

How does it work?
Amoxycillin kills susceptible bacteria by stopping them from building their protective cell wall. Potassium clavulanate helps protect amoxycillin from enzymes made by some bacteria, allowing it to work against more bacterial strains.

How to take/use it
Take it exactly as prescribed, preferably with a meal, and complete the prescribed course even if symptoms improve. Do not share it or use leftover antibiotics.

Common side effects
Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, stomach discomfort, headache, skin rash and fungal infections such as oral or vaginal thrush.

Precautions
Do not use it if there has been a serious allergy to amoxycillin, penicillins, cephalosporins or similar antibiotics. Inform the doctor about kidney or liver problems, previous antibiotic-related jaundice or colitis, or glandular fever. Seek urgent medical help for breathing difficulty, swelling of the face or throat, a severe blistering rash, yellowing of the skin or eyes, or severe or persistent diarrhoea.
