Moxy D Eye Drops (5 Ml) Moxifloxacin 0.5%, Dexa 0.05% by Elder

What is it used for?
This combination is generally used for bacterial eye infections that are accompanied by inflammation. It should be used only when prescribed by an eye-care professional.

How does it work?
Moxifloxacin is an antibiotic that stops the growth of susceptible bacteria. Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid that reduces eye inflammation, redness and swelling.

How to take/use it
Use in the affected eye(s) exactly as prescribed. Wash hands before use and do not touch the dropper tip to the eye or any surface. Do not use it for longer than prescribed. If symptoms do not improve or worsen, seek medical advice.

Common side effects
Temporary burning or stinging, eye irritation, redness, blurred vision or discomfort may occur after use.

Precautions
Use only under medical supervision, as the steroid component may worsen some viral or fungal eye infections, delay healing or increase eye pressure. Tell the doctor about glaucoma, an eye injury or recent eye surgery. Remove contact lenses before use and ask when they can be worn again. Seek urgent care for severe eye pain, worsening vision, marked swelling or an allergic reaction.
